The majority of tenders for West Dunbartonshire Council are advertised through the Public Contracts Scotland web portal.

All companies who wish to seek business opportunities with the Council are urged to register on Public Contracts Scotland as soon as possible. Registration is free.

Other national contracts that the Council buys through are also advertised through Public Contracts Scotland by Scotland Excel and Scottish Procurement

The Supplier Journey contains guidance for suppliers/providers  on how to bid for public sector goods, services and social care contracts. The Supplier Development Programme assists businesses to improve their performance in winning contracts with Public Sector Organisations. The programme offers information and support covering procurement issues and helps to unravel the tendering process

Third Sector organisations can access specific information on the Scottish Government website.

You can also view our Contract Register and Procurement Strategy.

Construction Industry Tax - Please check guidelines on payment of Construction Industry Tax. The scheme requires a tax deduction to be made by a contractor when making a payment to a sub-contractor for work that comes within the scope of the scheme.

West Dunbartonshire Council has a Public Interest Disclosure Policy. The Council supports the Scottish Governments Policy on ensuring that public contracts are awarded to legitimate businesses and we share information about suppliers who bid for public contracts with Police Scotland.
