Our Tenant Priority Budget (£800,000) gives WDC tenants an opportunity to influence how it is spent and we want to continue to improve the process. We want to make it clearer about the tenant influence over how the Budget is spent and how decisions are made.
A new proposal form has been created and any individual tenant, group of tenants or a Tenants & Residents Association can submit an idea. Any idea will be acknowledged and if meets the criteria, will be costed up and public agreement sought. We had a public meeting on the 27/6/18 and a number of proposal have been agreed and work started.
Proposals can be submitted until all the £800,000 is spent. It is hoped that as many tenants as possible get involved and a further meeting will take place on Wednesday 10 October , 5.30pm at 16 Church Street will discuss the costed, eligible proposals and decide what else can get done. An update on already agreed proposals will also be given. Transport to the meeting can be arranged and there is disabled access and a loop system in the building.
We have also created a briefing note that was initially prepared for the West Dunbartonshire Tenants & Residents Organisation (WDTRO) that gives a bit more detail on the process.
