If you have an interest in learning new skills to deliver therapeutic group work within a Gender Based Violence (GBV) Theoretical Framework and support CYP and Mothers in their recovery from domestic abuse then this one day training could be for you.
There are several criteria that you must be able to meet to attend this training:
•Have line manager permission to attend
•Have a understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on women, children and young people
•Have a current PVG
•Have permission to co-facilitate a 10 week group work programme starting 11th January 2018 (or around this date) – this gives participants the opportunity to consolidate their learning into a practical application. New facilitators will be paired with an experienced CEDAR Facilitator and supported throughout the group work programme.
•Be able to commit 4 hours per week for group delivery including group prep time
It promises to be an informative and creative day that aims to provide an overview of the 10/12 week Cedar group work programme, looking at the rationale behind the programme and with opportunity to try the activities.
