Transport Scotland provides information on Scottish Government trunk routes which in West Dunbartonshire is the A82:
Extensive road resurfacing and reconstruction works are set to begin throughout West Dunbartonshire.
The works follow the Council’s decision to significantly invest in the network as part of the budget setting in March.
Part of this additional funding will be focussed on specific routes with approximately £3 million invested in the A813 (Bonhill to Balloch) and A811 (Balloch to Gartocharn) routes.
Due to the carriageway layout, as well as operational and Health and Safety requirements, the closure and partial closure of these routes is unavoidable during these essential works.
Advance notification of works will be displayed at key points in the affected areas from week beginning July 30. Specific notices will be displayed as progress continues.
West Dunbartonshire Council apologises for any inconvenience caused as we upgrade our road network.
Traffic Regulation Orders (TRO's) impose traffic restrictions such as road closures, introduction or varying of speed limits, prohibition of turns (such as right turns and u-turns) and introduction of waiting or loading restrictions.
