Working 4 U is a service which aims to help people who are unemployed return to work.

We know there are many reasons why people find it hard to access employment.  We can help support your learning needs.

Get help

Our Community Learning and Development (CL&D) team offer a range of opportunities to help unemployed people with a place to meet and exchange skills, make contacts, share experiences and receive support to help them in their return to work.

We can help with:

  • Assisting you to identify and remove barriers to employment
  • Building confidence
  • Developing your essential skills (including literacy and numeracy, personal and learning skills, and skills for employment

English courses

We also offer help for residents whose first language is not English.

Our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) course helps to:

  • Access, read and understand job advertisements
  • Make telephone enquiries
  • Write a personal profile
  • Write covering letters

Steps to Excellence

Steps to Excellence is a course designed to change the habits, attitudes and beliefs which can hinder people in their individual lives.
