Improving Mitchell Way is another of the key projects arising from the 2021 Alexandria Town Centre Masterplan. Vacant buildings on the south side of Mitchell Way were demolished in 2023 to make way for the construction of a new supermarket.
To help integrate the development with the wider town centre and increase the attractiveness of the area, Regeneration are investigating public realm improvements and how to make best use of the remaining Council owned land and buildings on Mitchell Way.
