The vision of securing a successful and prosperous future for the Dumbarton town centre and its waterfront was established in the 2014 Revised Strategy for Dumbarton Town Centre and Waterfront and reaffirmed in the 2015 Rock and Castle Charrette. Over the last 10 years, the Council has delivered several key projects to invigorate the town including the new Council headquarters at 16 Church Street, a new waterfront path and the Connecting Dumbarton project. Further projects, investments and initiatives are underway, with the most significant being the award of £19.9m from the UK Government Levelling Up Fund (LUF) in 2021.
