Community Budgeting is part of West Dunbartonshire Council's Your Community Initiative and has been developed and refined over 5 phases as WDC's approach to Participatory Budgeting.
Community Budgeting is a method of allocating small grants to community groups and organisations. Groups can apply directly and the decision on which groups receive funding is made by local people through a voting process.
This phase of Community Budgeting will be directed towards improving opportunities for young people in West Dunbartonshire. All groups are invited to make applications for funding of up to £5000 to support activities taking place in local communities however the main focus of these activities must benefit young people.
