A depiction of the Three Kings has been chosen as the winner of the Provost’s 2023 Christmas card competition.
Eliezer Renato’s design was picked out by Provost Douglas McAllister and will now feature on his official Christmas card and sent out to more than 300 individuals and organisations across West Dunbartonshire and beyond.
Every year the Provost selects one school from West Dunbartonshire to take part in the Christmas card competition and this year it was the turn of St Joseph’s Primary.
Eliezer, who is in Primary 3 at the school, was the overall winner, while designs by Jayden Nicol and Max McGuinness were runner-up’s.
All three pupils’ names will be displayed on the winning Christmas card in recognition of their efforts.
The three finalists met with Provost McAllister this week, where he was able to congratulate them in person.
As winner, Eliezer received a framed copy of his design, as well as a gift voucher and an engraved Christmas tree decoration.
The two runners up received a gift voucher and an engraved Christmas tree decoration.
Provost McAllister said: "The never-ending talent of our primary children amazes me every year and it was a difficult decision to pick from the many fantastic designs we received from St Joseph’s.
"We want to continue to support our pupils to have a creative outlet and I’d like to thank the teachers who continue to nurture their skills. Congratulations to our winners and to everyone who took part.”
