Works to enhance and improve Dumbarton’s Denny Civic Theatre are now complete.
The works totalling £200,000 have transformed the Denny Civic to a fully operational theatre with professional audio and visual equipment to support stage performances.
The theatre has been given a facelift with a number of improvements, including an upgrade of changing facilities, redecoration, and improved toilet provisions.
Corporate Services Vice Convenor Councillor Michelle McGinty said: "I'm really happy to see these works completed. The improvements will make a huge difference to performances within the Denny Civic and will enhance the experience to audience members. I hope these upgrades encourage more residents and visitors to use this community theatre to its full capacity – it is such a valuable asset for the whole area."
Councillor David McBride, Partner Director of West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust and Convener of Infrastructure, Regeneration and Economic Development added: "The works are really beneficial to not just performers but to the community who have been coming and supporting the Denny Civic over the years. Opening its doors again following the renovation is fantastic timing as we move forward with the levelling up of Dumbarton High Street.
