Housing Services have been carrying out a review of our Repairs Policy over the summer and consultation with tenants has been an important element of this review.

In June 2024 an initial survey was carried out. Over 1000 responses were received and this feedback has been key to informing an updated policy which has now been developed.

We are now seeking your views on this revised policy and have developed a short survey made up of 5 questions:

  • Question 1 asks what you think about the information provided around repair responsibilities. (See Section 4 of the document).
  • Question 2 asks about the definitions of our different repairs categories. (See Section 6 of the document).
  • Question 3 asks about target timescales for completing repairs. (See Section 6 of the document).
  • Question 4 asks about the information provided around the level of service tenants can expect. (See Section 7 of the document).
  • Question 5 asks you to provide any other comments on the updated Repairs Policy.

Please take the time to read the draft policy document and then respond to the survey which should only take a few minutes to complete.

All responses will be anonymised and feedback provided used inform a revised policy due to be considered by the Housing and Communities Committee in November 2024.

The survey will close on 27 September 2024 and we would encourage as many tenants as possible to participate and provide their views.
