If you want to invite Council officers or people from other organisations contact them directly. Provide information about the meeting;

  • time
  • place
  • purpose of the meeting

It’s helpful for both them and you if you can tell them in advance about the issues you want to raise with them. This helps them come prepared and ensures that you both get the most from their attendance at your meeting.

If your request is to a Council officer from Housing Services make sure that you ask them to attend ten working days in advance of your meeting.

Council officers will respond to your request within five working days of receiving it.

Every effort will be made to ensure that a Council officer attends. If an officer cannot attend and another cannot go in their place, they will tell you why and provide a written response to the issues or questions raised by your group so that you can feedback to your meeting
