West Dunbartonshire Council’s collections are for the inspiration, education and enjoyment of all. West Dunbartonshire Council holds our common heritage in trust and aims to make it accessible to the widest possible audience. The collections consist of archives, photographs, fine art and objects, including the Sewing Machine Collection and Singer Archive, a Recognised Collection of National Significance.
Our online collections catalogue provides access to information about many of the objects, archives and photographs held in West Dunbartonshire Council’s collections. The database is a working database, maintained by the council’s Heritage Team, and is being continually updated. For this reason not all entries are complete and some may contain errors.
