Method
Brown steak and diced onion in a pan.
Add seasoning and water to cover meat and simmer for 1 hour or until tender
Brown sausages in oven and cut into bite sized pieces.
Add sausages to steak and simmer for 30 minutes.
Mix flour and gravy browning with a little water to form a smooth paste and add to meat, stirring continuously. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Transfer meat to a grundy and allow to cool.
Roll out pastry to required size and cover meat, taking care to seal the edges.
Brush pastry with milk and bake at 230C, 450F, Gas 6 for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
