West Dunbartonshire Council manages seven cemeteries and churchyards.
North Dalnottar Cemetery sits adjacent to the Great Western Road (A82) on the east-bound side of the carriageway and opposite the Dalnottar Cemetery. The cemetery was opened in 1972 with the first interment carried out on the twenty fifth of February of that year. The cemetery serves the town of Clydebank and is five miles from the main town centre. The cemetery was opened to provide burial space for the people of Clydebank and surrounding areas when the original Dalnottar Cemetery became full.
