We are committed to strengthening ties between those who serve or have served in the armed forces and the communities in which they work and live. In 2016 WDC signed the Armed Forces Covenant and there is a council wide commitment to support the work and lives of the armed forces community.

West Dunbartonshire Council offer guaranteed interviews to disabled Veterans, Reservists or serving members of the Armed Forces preparing for leaving the service. The Council are working to increase links to encourage employment from ex service personnel.
