West Dunbartonshire Council Greenspace are looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks and activities across West Dunbartonshire.
Volunteering is good for our physical and mental wellbeing, especially during these recent difficult times.
So if you love your environment and being outdoors and would like to meet new people, please join us with whatever time you have to spare. Volunteering will give you the opportunity to use your existing skills and knowledge, learn more skills, increase confidence and socialise in the outdoors. Tasks are for all abilities are available and no previous experience is needed. All equipment provided.
Unfortunately, we are unable to take any volunteers under 16 years of age unless they are accompanied by an adult that is also signed up as a volunteer and they must undertake all activities together. Please get in touch using the details below if you would like to discuss this further.
Wildlife surveys, biodiversity activities, gardening activities, community growing in our local area.
Woodland management, removal & regeneration of vegetation, wildlife and other nature surveys within our parks and open spaces.
Supporting and assisting family community days, open days, exhibitions, community engagement, school activities, seasonal kid’s parties and events, orchard maintenance, tree identification, visitor & observation surveys and other events and activities in our parks and greenspaces.
Support and assisting with our Inspirational Walks, bird watching activities, walk, jog, run route events and other nature activities with the local community. Walk leader training available.
Support and take part in local litter picks in and around West Dunbartonshire. Opportunities to meet and join up with other groups and organisations in the area in which you live.
